Meet Debrah Cohen (she, her), LAMFT

Are you tired of feeling “stuck”?

I can help!

I’m here to help you to uncover how your past reaches into your present. I will journey with you as you dig into your past, make changes, and emerge as a healthier, happier person.

My style

You will find me to be a very warm person who believes that humor has a place in the therapy room. You will feel listened to and “seen”, but I will do more than just nod. I will help you to identify your ongoing patterns, and underlying emotions.

Trained as a couples and family therapist, I see the world through that lens. I have training in family systems, grief counseling, attachment based therapy, and mindfulness. I work eclectically, and may also use art therapy, meditation, and Internal Family Systems over the course of therapy.

Before training as a therapist I served for many years as a trained interfaith chaplain working with individuals in long term care, hospice, and forensic psychiatric facilities. I would love to hear about your spiritual self. I strive to practice antiracist, feminist, LGBTQIA+ and non-monogamy inclusive therapy. I am a single Mom by choice of a teen, and have a midwestern accent because I grew up in Detroit.
